Andrew Junipero Fox (Andy) is known as one of the most versatile players in
Major League Baseball. In his few years in the show, he has proven himself a
worthy adversary to even the greatest players in the game today. Andy began
his career in the Yankees farm system and was a member of the 1996 World
Champion New York Yankees.
His coach from the Yankees, Buck Showalter, saw in him something special and
brought Andy with him to Arizona to begin the history of the Diamondbacks.
Andy quickly became a fan favorite in Arizona, playing seven positions in one
season. His obvious heart and character prompted the creation of this club. Since his
trade to the Florida Marlins, Andy has struggled to regain his game, but it
is clear that his heart remains.
We look forward to a future full of Andy Foxs highlights, and cannot wait
to share them with you!
We would really like to make this whatever you the members want it to be.
Let us know at andyfoxfan@ssv1site.com
what you want to see on this site. Is
there something you would like to know about Andy? Should we all get
together in honor of this future hall of famer? (No pressure, Andy!) Should
we set up sites for other players as well? Do we need a name? Should we call
ourselves the little Foxes? Can you come up with something better? Has
anyone found an Andy Fox baseball card in a Marlin's uniform?
Thank you, Brad Cesmat from KTAR 620AM Radio here in Phoenix for the great
idea to start this fan club. The talent on the Diamondbacks will certainly
be worthy of more of these as the team continues its climb to greatness! (even
though Andy is now with the Marlins, we still love him).
